The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, in partnership with our 11 Sapling Project sites across the country, is pleased to provide teaching resources for use in the classroom. This guide is intended to help teachers use the book or play Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl, or ideas or excerpts from these texts, to teach about the larger issues of historical memory, intolerance and injustice, and the role of every individual in standing up for what is right. While this guide is written with a middle school audience in mind, many of the activities are easily adaptable for use with older or younger students.
Sapling Project education resources are made possible through the generous support of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
