Anne Frank Remembered

Jon Blair’s 1995 Academy Award Winner for Best Documentary narrated by Kenneth Branagh and Glenn Close, Anne Frank Remembered, features vintage newsreels, photographs and even a rare home movie to look beyond the pages of Anne Frank’s diary. It includes surprising, often emotional interviews with Anne’s family, friends, and her heroic protector, Miep Gies. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer writes “Anne Frank Remembered is not so much a documentary as a rare piece of history that virtually comes alive, taking your breath away with its immediacy.” Newsday: “Blair has created a sensitive, elegantly structured work that brings young Anne alive.”
